Located on the dorsal surface of the distal radius, the grooves for extensor tendons are longitudinal indentations accomodating the tendons of the muscles extending the fingers:

  • the extensor pollicis longus,
  • the extensor indicis,
  • the extensor digitorum,
  • and the extensor digiti minimi.
